Denture Repairs
There are two types of denture repairs – simple repairs, and repairs using impressions. Our dentists will need to examine your dentures to determine the extent of the repairs needed, and see if the denture can be repaired at all. If your denture has experienced significant wear or damage, repair may not be possible. Denture repairs can usually be completed in one day. You will need to be in our office while your dentures are being repaired. Please do not attempt to repair your dentures yourself.
Denture Relines
A denture reline is a resurfacing of the side of your dentures that comes into contact with the soft tissues of your mouth. Bones and tissues in your mouth can change over time, making it important to adjust your dentures to ensure a tight, secure fit against your gum tissue. Relines are typically made using impressions, and can usually be completed the same day. They can sometimes be completed while you are in the treatment chair, but most often need to be sent to our in-house lab. Dr. Taylor will discuss with you the type of reline most appropriate for your dental condition.
